Nemont Raises $14,000 to Support Local Montana EMS Services

SCOBEY, MT [October 17, 2025] – Nemont, a local communications cooperative, is proud to announce the successful completion of its latest giveback campaign, resulting in a $14,000 donation to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) across Northeast Montana.

The funds will be distributed directly to EMS locations in Bainville, Culbertson, Froid, Glasgow, Hinsdale, Lustre, Opheim, Plentywood, Poplar, Scobey, and Wolf Point. This significant contribution is intended to help these critical local services purchase necessary equipment, provide training, and support their life-saving operations.

The Cooperative Difference

The annual giveback campaign is a core tradition for Nemont, reflecting its dedication to the communities it serves. This commitment is central to the very nature of a cooperative.

Every year, Nemont actively looks for meaningful ways to give back to the local communities we service. This is the cooperative way.

"Every year, Nemont actively looks for meaningful ways to give back to the local communities we service. This is the cooperative way," said Kristen O'Toole, Marketing Manager for Nemont. "Being a cooperative means we are a democratically controlled organization dedicated to the prosperity of our members, not external investors. This commitment drives everything we do. We actively work to support local businesses and forge strategic joint ventures to ensure our dollars circulate within the community, building a stronger foundation for everyone who calls this area home."

Nemont serves as a telecommunications provider, but its structure is designed to benefit its member-owners through democratic governance, shared economic benefits, and an unwavering focus on community commitment. This $14,000 donation exemplifies that principle in action. Every phone sold during the summer county fairs, a portion of the money is allocated to support a local cause, such as EMS.
